When the gaming industry was developed and games were invented, people showed an overwhelming response. It boosted the morale of game development companies, and they started to develop more games. The competition in this industry started, and when competition entangles in some industries, everything changes. Such an industry becomes advance and premium, and a technology development war starts that never ends. The same happened with the gaming industry.
Incidents occur everywhere; among them, some incidents are voluntary, and some are non-voluntarily. It has been going since the existence of Earth and will have been going till the end. As it is concerned with the incidents in the gaming industry, it has dozens of incidents that happened in the world due to the inventions of humans and aired the competitive environment while beating the other games of their ages. Release of the Doom
It was the 10th of December in 1993 when this game had released. It was the first shooting game that ID Software developed. The enemies were demons from Hell that invaded Doomguy. Furthermore, it was the first game also that we could play with our friends. Its’ first episode was available for everyone who had 9 levels to play, and it was played by 20 million people approximately. The next two episodes were in the purchase order. It was 1995 when its updated version was developed and sold at retail, named The Ultimate Doom. It was considered one of the greatest games that have ever been made. It was a revolutionary game in gaming history.
Release of the Play Station 2
Sony Computer Entertainment was the company that developed The PlayStation 2 and marketed it. It was the first home video game console. Japan was the first lucky country where this game was released in March 2000. Approximately after 7 months, it was released in North America in October 2000. After a month, it was available in Europe in November 2000, followed by Australia in November 2000. 150 million units of this game sold worldwide, so it was the best selling video game console of all time.
Sony developed its new lighter versions in 2004 that was named Slimline Models. It was so famous when its successor, The PlayStation 3, was released; its popularity remained the same. Even it had been remained popular into the seventh generation. In 2013, Sony announced to stop its production after 12 years. It is the longest life span of a video game console.
Invention of X-box
Xbox network (previously known as Xbox Live) is an online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery service created and operating by Microsoft. It was first made available for the original Xbox on November 15, 2002. An updated version of the service was made available for the Xbox 360 upon the system’s launch in November 2005, and a further enhanced version was released in 2013 with the Xbox One. This same version is also used with the Xbox Series X and Series S.
The service was extended in 2007 on the Windows platform, named Games for Windows – Live, which makes most aspects of the system available on Windows computers. Microsoft has announced plans to extend Live to other platforms such as handhelds and mobile phones as part of the Live Anywhere initiative. With Microsoft’s mobile operating system, Windows Phone, full Xbox Live functionality is integrated into new Windows Phones launched in late 2010.
